What is a crypto index in simple terms?
In plain English, a crypto index is a basket of cryptoassets grouped together according to specific rules outlined in the crypto index methodology. These rules determine which assets are included in the index, how much weight each asset carries, how often the basket is updated, and the standards an asset must meet to remain within it.
The CRYPTO 100 ® rebalances on a quarterly schedule. The next rebalance is scheduled for 1 July 2026, with future rebalance dates falling on 1 October 2026, 1 January 2027, and 1 April 2027, and then continuing every quarter thereafter.
The rebalance process is based on the CRYPTO 100 ® methodology. The index is reviewed using a rules based selection score that emphasises volatility, adoption, liquidity, and tokenomics, ensuring that the constituent lists and weights are updated on the effective rebalance date.

Top 10 Weight
Top 10 Weight shows the 10 assets with the largest index weights, which determine how much each asset influences the CRYPTO 100 Level. These are the biggest drivers of index performance.
On the current index, Bitcoin alone accounts for 56.90% of the weight, followed by Ethereum at 17.44%, and XRP at 6.53%. The remaining top 10 includes Solana, TRON, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, Chainlink, and Stellar.

Top 10 Score
Top 10 Score shows the 10 cryptoassets with the highest VALT scores in the universe, regardless of their weight. The VALT score reflects each asset’s quality or strength, and is a core part of the index’s quality weighted methodology.
This section is different from Top 10 Weight because it highlights assets that score well on VALT, even if they are small by weight.
For example, Litecoin currently has the highest VALT score in the table at 84.8.
